KINO

Founded back in 1955, KINO is Baden-Württemberg’s leading specialised cinema and digital arts venue, located in the heart of Stuttgart.

KINO welcomes almost 500,000 people into its building every year, offering a rich and diverse artistic programme of film, exhibitions and events across film, artist film and film heritage for audiences of all ages and from all walks of life.

With its iconic mid-century modern architecture and the latest technology, KINO offers the very best cinema experience in an inclusive, well-used and much-loved cultural venue and social destination.

KINO recognises that discrimination does occur on the grounds of disability and we are committed to making every effort to maximise access for disabled people to our facilities. We will maximise access through staff training, by using alternative information formats, by developing our programme and by implementing significant physical changes to the Cinema’s building.

The major refurbishment of the venue in 2007 ensured our venue is now more accessible than ever before.

WE HAVE:

Accessible toilet facilities.
Lift to all floors,
Audio description on selected films,
High contrast signage throughout the building, complete with braille.
